SCORE

The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is a national non-profit association dedicated to the success of the nation’s small businesses. SCORE can help you prepare a start-up business plan, economic analysis, financial statements, and can provide additional assistance through their mentoring and training programs. To learn more about SCORE, visit their website at www.score.org or the local Kansas City chapter at www.scorekc.org.

The SCORE website has many resources and sample documents you might need to get your new business started, including preparing a business plan, economic analysis, and financial statements. Below, we will provide you with visual instructions on maneuvering through the main SCORE website to access to access a sample Business Plan. The same steps can be taken to access the other available resources.

PREPARING A BUSINESS PLAN –

Visit www.score.org, then click on the "Business Tools" link, as shown below:

On the Business Tools page, click the sub-link "Template Gallery". There you will find a list of sample templates, including the template "Business Plan for a Start-up Business". The sample business plan can be downloaded in Word format, which can then be edited to suite your business and be saved for future use.
